Hi Everyone
Hope everyone had a great Halloween. We are looking
forward to November's favorite holiday, Thanksgiving.

FOR THE BODY: SPORTS NUTRITION | | Early this October, I attended an Exercise and Sports
Nutrition Seminar. Here is some information I would like
to share.
1. 59% of owners of obese dogs are obese. (Are we
surprised?)
2. High Intensity Progressive Weight Training builds
Bone Density and Muscle Mass, better than drugs.
3. The muscles of older subjects have the greatest
percentage of improvement (compared to other age
groups) when participating in high intensity progressive
weight training.
4. 50 Heel drops,daily, Increases bone density 3-4% in
6 mos. 5. More positive physical changes occur
with progressive weight training, compared to aerobic
exercise.
6. Before exercise-Eat a little protein for fuel.
7. After exercise-Muscles must be re-fueled within 45
minutes with food containing carbs and protein..
8. Rest days need to be part of a training program.
Muscles need time to heal & refuel. Minds need time to
rest & recharge.
9. Coffee is not dehydrating in caffeine tolerant
athletes in moderate doses
10. Drink enough water to avoid dehydration, whether
exercising or not. A good indicator of enough water is
pale urine color.

FOR THE MIND: INTUITIVE MIND POWER | | I have been teaching Psychic Development classes for
many years. More people are becoming interested in
expanding their Psychic/Intuitive powers than ever
before. We are all intuitive. Some more than others,
but intuition can be enhanced through practice.

AUTUMN: ACCORDING TO CHINESE MEDICINE | | Chinese medicine designates Autumn as the season
related to the lungs and the large intestine. Both
systems are responsible for elimination. Breathing
deeply is healthful for lung power. O2 is brought into
the lungs and CO2 is released. Eating well (warm
soups, vegetables, yogurt and enough water) is
necessary for the large intestine to eliminate toxins and
prevent constipation. Chinese medicine also
associates seasons with emotional qualities. For
Autumn, the lungs and intestine relate to sadness and
grief. It is important, at this time, to process and
release these emotions, so they do not interfere with
