HELLO FROM LAURA

Delighted that the weather has turned warm and sunny. It makes a difference for all- longer days, brighter spirits.
Although seemingly quiet on the outside, I am writing and creating Hypnosis CD's which will be available in July.
New classes include PRACTICAL MEDITATION for June and RELAXATION: Mind Body Stress Reduction for July.

For years I have done PHONE SESSIONS which are effective for hypnocoaching, astro-numerology, spiritual energy work, and distance healing. Have worked with people from all over the USA.  If we have worked together before, and you need a quick session, this is the way to go. If we haven't worked before, and you are intuitive, following your spiritual path, I would be pleased to have you call me.

A half hour is $50, a full hour is $90.  Best part - no one has to dress for this occasion, it can be long or short distance. I am available for added appointment times for PHONE SESSIONS.  Interested?  Call 978-777-9911

  •  FOR THE MIND: STRESS IS A KILLER
  •      A couple of weeks ago, I went to a workshop for CEU credits called "Burnout, Stress and Fatigue" taught by Dr. Mary O'Brien. I expected to sleep through the event, but was delighted by her expertise, humor and common sense approach.
It is not surprising, but timely that I am having a saliva test which measures Cortisol levels.  Cortisol comes from the Adrenal glands, which are mediators of stress.  When cortisol levels are high - the body is stressed out.
A test for cortisol includes 4 samples taken at 8am, 12pm, 5pm and 10pm. Cortisol levels should be lowest at night and highest in the AM.  Dr O'Brien says that some of us feel more normal in the evening, as Cortisol levels decrease.
Stress is not a happy story.  Depression, anxiety, mental stress from financial problems, job difficulties, relationship situations, debilitating life habits and environmental stress, says Dr. O'Brien, can create a Cortisol bath in the body.  If chronic stress lasts for more than 2 years it can shrink the brain, kill brain cells and compromise the immune system. Stress can cause hypertension, inflammation, overweight, abdominal obesity,  and increased insulin resistance.  Sleep deprivation increases stress. Caretakers are especially at risk.

4 CHANGES TO ALLEVIATE THE STRESS RESPONSE
More Rest, Eat Better, Breathe Deeper,
    Worry Less and Exercise

Did you know? One Yoga class can decrease Cortisol. Meditation decreases Cortisol.  Lowering Cortisol lowers Heart Rate, Blood Pressure, and Muscle tension.

  • FOR THE BODY: 2 DRINKS FOR WEIGHT LOSS
  • We all know that water enhances weight loss. So keep drinking water. Adding these 2 liquids may help pounds and belly fat drop off.  Both are relatively safe and worth a try, while on a healthy food and exercise plan. Everyone is different - so results may vary.  I'm trying the tea.

    1. Drink 1 GLASS OF  Low Sodium Vegetable Juice daily
Low-sodium vegetable juice, helps reduce appetite, while increasing vegetable intake, Vitamin C and potassium. it also satisfies hunger, lessening junk food intake.
    As advertised - Have a V-8.
Since acids are stored in fat cells, and when pH becomes  balanced with alkaline foods such as vegetable juice, the  body will let go of the bloat in fat cells and the acids they contain. Best of course, make your own vegetable juice.

    2. Drink 6 GLASSES of Green or Black Tea daily
Tea aids in weight loss - and shrinks your belly - says Tufts researcher Jeffrey Blumberg. Dr. Eric Braverman (a favorite of mine) says that adding 6 cups of tea to a 1500 calorie diet and exercise plan, helps to diminish pounds,  speeds  up metabolism by 4%, blocks dietary fat and turns off hunger.
Please brew the tea yourself, without sweeteners.
