HELLO EVERYONE,
The weather has warmed up and is great for outdoor
activities. It is time to soak up the sun, be active and play.
Some sunlight is good, and outdoor exercise is wonderful!

WHY EXERCISE? |
|
Since the fitness
revolution has taken hold in this country there are many more
people who are involved in exercise programs, jogging, weight
lifting, aerobics, yoga, bicycling, rowing and even walking on
a regular basis. The world has become divided into two camps -
the exercisers and the non-exercisers. Those who do are very
absorbed in their sport. Those who don't wonder about those
who spend all that time "pumping iron". Industries have
been created around the exercisers. Exercise fashions have
been in vogue, well as gym programs, health spas, records,
tapes and videos for those who do it. HEALTH
BENEFITS 1. WEIGHT LOSS Exercise can help the body
achieve a new "set point" which will allow one to maintain a
weight level that looks and feels best for the individual
dieter, eliminating the YO YO syndrome. Aerobic exercise
increases metabolic rate - so one can burn up more calories.
It also helps maintain lean body weight, while decreasing the
percentage of fat. Appetite is usually diminished through
exercise and many find they are more interested in healthy
food rather than junk food. 2. HEALTHIER
HEARTS Exercise strengthens the heart and lessens the
chance of developing heart disease. It has á beneficial effect
on heart disease risk factors including blood cholesterol, and
high blood pressure. With regular exercise, the blood vessels
that feed the heart expand and decreases the possibility that
clogged vessels will cause a stroke or heart attack. The heart
muscle is strengthened, as it needs to BEAT less frequently.
Harmful blood fats are reduced while HDL is increased.
3. PREVENTING OSTEOPOROSIS There is evidence
that regular exercise helps maintain the DENSITY of
bones and prevents osteoporosis which affects 6-8 million
American women. 4. OTHER BENEFITS Exercise
increases energy, relaxation, creativity, helps insomina,
decreases depression and combats fatigue. It also helps in
regulating blood sugar levels.

while creating a positive and peaceful self image. Join us for
a holistic approach to weight loss using visualization,
possibility thinking and relaxation techniques. This course is
taught by a former fatty, now a licensed nutritionist and
certified hypnotherapist.
PAST LIVES: A SPIRITUAL ADVENTURE; Sunday, November 7,
2004 , 1-5pm, 4 hours In this workshop we will explore the
theory of past lives through discussion, experiences and
imagery. Yes, if you wish you can travel back in time yourself
and/or facilitate a journey for a fellow workshop member.
Techniques and instruction will be offered in a safe,
comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Your instructor, Laura,
had her first regression in 1977 and is now aware of 50+ of
her past life adventures. She has taught past life classes for

and Medical Intuition. We will identify and work with energy
centers (chakras), energy fields (auras) and meridians. Using
discussion and visualization we will explore possibilities for
harmonizing mind-body-spirit imbalances.
