Wishing everyone a spectacular New Year!


According to numerology, 2006 is an "8" year. An 8 on its side becomes the infinity symbol and may indicate karmic events. What we sow, so shall we reap. An eight year is a harvest year, and can bring money and other well deserved goodies. This is a year to get out and show yourself in the world. No hiding! Do your best. The rewards are waiting. It is a year of learning and higher knowledge. GO FOR IT!

  • NEW YEARS INTENTIONS

  •   I read an article in Alternative Magazine called "Paving the Road to Success". It focuses on New Year's Intentions, rather than traditional New Year's Resolutions. Resolutions can similar to To-Do Lists and sometimes fade quickly.
    Judy Brooks, the author of this article suggests using intentions instead. She says resolutions come from our minds and intentions come from our hearts. Intentions are powerful purposeful dreams coming from deep within.
    We still need to take action, visualize and reaffirm our intentions while waiting and staying open to possibilities. The outcome may not manifest in the way we thought, but the results could turn out even better than expected.

  •   Charlie Brown of cartoon fame felt happiness was touching the bottom of the pool with his feet, which gave him a feeling of safety. Happiness means different things for different people. How can you achieve Happiness?
    From Body and Soul - 6 Tools to Create Happiness.
    1. Appreciating - self, others and life.
    2. Applying Choice as the basis of freedom
    3. Using Self-Power-taking responsibility and action.
    4. Focusing on Strengths - not weakness or fears.
    5. Using the Power of Language and stories positively.
    6. Living Large blending relationships, health and work.

  • FOR THE BODY: Stress Relief

  •   Cook's Hook-Ups for a centering and grounding effect: calming an overactive left brain.
    1: Cross one ankle over the other; Cross one wrist over the other (same side ankle and wrist on top);
    Place tongue on roof of mouth, just behind teeth; breathe deeply for 30 seconds. Uncross Legs; Place fingertips together; breathe deeply for 30 seconds.
    2. Lightly hold forehead and back of neck; Close eyes and breathe deeply for 30-60 seconds.
    Now doesn't that feel better?

Through self- exploration, guided imagery and relaxation techniques, we can find answers which lead to transformation of this situation. This course is taught by a former food addict, with 25 years of personal and professional experience.
