February 14 is Valentines Day. Check my pink email special for February, and NEW events listed below.
February 3, 2011 begins the Year of the Rabbit, 4th sign of the Chinese Zodiac. The lucky Rabbit Year is a year to catch your breath and calm your nerves after the tumultuous Tiger year. Time for negotiation and diplomacy, with the focus on home, family, security, and relationships with women and children. The goal is to create a peaceful lifestyle, and calmly deal with any problems should they arise.
Chinese astrological signs recur every 12 years. Year of the Rabbit people were born in 1903, 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999 and will be born in 2011.
Those born in the year of the Rabbit are friendly sometimes introverted individuals, often needing their own space. Gentle, clever and diplomatic, they are good teachers, counselors and communicators. They use
persuasive words and avoid fighting to get things done.
A Coincidence? - My grand daughter is bringing her white rabbit to college with her. She needs to be peaceful after her rocky ride on last year's Tiger.

THE BODY: PROBIOTICS
Probiotics are live, friendly microorganisms or good bacteria that help our bodies thrive in many ways. They aid better digestion, assimilation of food and are reported to have a positive effect on the immune system, blood pressure, weight loss and overall health.
Cultured or fermented foods like yogurt, some cheeses, and sauerkraut are good sources of natural, healthy bacteria known as probiotics.
At a Weston Price seminar, I learned certain doctors were using special diets which included fermented foods and gelatins with Cancer patients to aid their healing.
At Hippocrates Institute, many years ago in Boston, dietary methods thought to help people fight disease were favored. Home made fermented sauerkraut, (you could smell it a mile away) wheat grass juice, coffee enemas, and natural raw food were foods on their menu.
Jaime Lee Curtis promotes the health benefits of "Activa" on TV. Not a bad idea to eat yogurt, the good bacteria is included. I would be more interested in organic yogurt, from cows which were not fed hormones.
Another option are Probiotic supplements for good digestive and whole body health. Some need refrigeration, some don't. Some have different bacterias - with long and funny names. Questions? Call Laura

FOR THE SPIRIT: ENERGY HEALING
"Selling NY" is a reality TV show about selling high end properties in New York City. The Realtor and motivated owner/seller had a condo which would not sell.
The Realtor brought in an energy person, a psychic Shaman type, he had used many times before, with positive results. The Shaman's job was to clear the condo's negative energy and bring in positive energy so it would sell.
The client, a star on one of the TV soaps, thought it was bizarre. But because she was desperate to sell, she allowed the Shaman to come in do his work.
When the shaman finished his ritual, incense and all, he foretold the unit would sell, very soon and mentioned the word, "expansion".
The unit sold, almost immediately, was expanded with another unit on the same floor to become a larger unit.
These properties sell for millions of dollars, with commissions in the hundreds of thousands. It is amazing that a Shaman was hired for a large NY real estate deal. I wonder what the Shaman received for his services.
Not surprising. On a smaller scale, my clients, friends and I have done Feng Shui and other energy clearing techniques to sell properties or businesses. It works. Everything is energy.
