The Year of the Monkey, in Chinese Astrology, is over. On February 9, 2005, we welcome the Year of the Rooster. For your personal experience with Rooster, you can check other Rooster years to learn what you can expect. Rooster years were 1993, 1981, 1969, 1957 and 1945 (the end of WWII).
Universally, the Rooster brings us happy, colorful, bright, wild, glamorous, and party times. Donald Trump made his amazingly expensive wedding on the cusp of the Rooster year. We will be looking forward to a flamboyant year with wild and crazy schemes. Try to be practical, grounded, centered, somewhat cautious and keep your energy and money in tact.     Ways to Maximize Energy

    1. Eat enough protein - especially at breakfast
    2. Limit sugar - makes you tired in the long term
    3. Limit artificial sweetners and other artificial foods
    4. Limit white trash carbohydrates like white flour
    5. Remove foods you are sensitive to from your diet
    6. Stop eating foods that don't agree with you
    7. Don't eat or drink foods that make you sluggish.
    8. Maintain your ideal weight, stay at within 5lbs
    9. Eat at regular intervals 3 to 6 times a day
    10. Eat life giving foods - lots of fruits and veggies.
    11. Don't forget to play - as well as work
    12. Get enough sleep, best sleep time is 10pm to 2am
    13. Don't exercise too much, too little or not at all
    14. Have regular body work, massage, acupuncture,etc.
    15. Check medical conditions which cause fatigue
    16. Resolve stressful emotional or mental issues.
    17. Surround yourself with high energy people.
    18. Look forward to new activities and interests
    19. Keep busy and do good for others.
    20. Make decisions which make you happy.

    This holistic class is for those who have been struggling with food. Food compulsions may be the symptom of a hidden problem. It could be a physical reaction to the food we eat or a mental, emotional or spiritual aspect of ourselves asking for healing. Through self- exploration, guided imagery and relaxation techniques, we find answers which can lead to transformation of this situation. This course is taught by a former food addict, now a licensed nutritionist and certified hypnotherapist with 20 years of personal and professional experience.
