'Tis the season to be jolly! The 21st of December is the Winter Solstice, and marks the beginning of Winter, longer days and a time to celebrate the holidays. Enjoy!

  • REDUCE HOLIDAY STRESS - 12 HINTS

  •  Get through the holiday season more easily, especially if you are entertaining.
    1. HAVE A PLAN - write it out
    2. EASE UP ON expectations and perfection
    3. STREAM LINE - get rid of non-essential tasks
    4. ORGANIZE - paperwork, cards, and tasks
    5. AVOID - long lines, busy stores - shop online
    6. DO WHAT WORKED BEFORE - what you know
    7. SIMPLIFY - menus, shopping, - Use gift cards.
    8. ASK FOR HELP - and use ready made food
    9. GO WITH THE FLOW - relax and enjoy
    10. TAKE BREAKS - slow down, breathe deeply
    11. VISUALIZE the final outcome
    12. ATTRACT and magnetize what you need

  • FOR THE BODY: Winter Protocol

  •  Winter is a good time to be taking supplements; Multi Vit/Min, especiall Vitamin D, or Cod Liver Oil. Use full spectrum incandescent bulbs at home, to bring in sunlight. For Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), try a lightbox or the electric beach. Continue physical activity, even though it feels like time to go to bed because it is dark by 4:30pm.
    The days start to get longer after the Winter Solstice on December 21st. We welcome more light for many reasons. Light uplifts our mood, we feel happier, and it is easier to lose weight, the more light we have. If you can - Try to get at least 20 minutes of outdoor sunlight daily.
    Hot foods like stews, soups, cooked root vegetables, more good fat and protein in your diet, and hot beverages will keep you warmer in the colder temperatures.
