  • STRESS REDUCER: REMEMBER TO BREATHE
  • THE PROBLEM: INCREASED STRESS SYMPTOMS
When we experience stress or pain, we tend to hold our breath. When we breathe irregularly and exhale incompletely, our lungs, body and brain do not receive enough oxygen.

THE SOLUTION: CHANGE THE OXYGEN-CARBON DIOXIDE RATIO
We can increase oxygen by taking in more air - inhaling deeply. We can decrease excess carbon dioxide by exhaling completely.

    SLOW DOWN AND FOCUS:
    1. Breathe in and out, slowly and deeply, while counting each breath
    2. Focus on each breath and stay in the moment
    3. Focus on breathing in relaxation and breathing out tension
    4. Feel the stress leaving your body easily and effortlessly
    5. OR Yawn, Sigh or Groan - which allows increased oxygen intake

  • STRESS REDUCER: LIVING IN THE PRESENT
  • "We are preoccupied with the past and the future, but we only feel at home when we truly learn to BE in the present. When we wake up in the present, we're on intimate terms with life and our spiritual nature."

"Losing the Weight of the World" by Jonathan and Diane Kramer

  • STRESS REDUCER: THE MOVIES
  • Two delightful movies are playing in the local theatres.

SERENDIPITY- A delightful and romantic comedy about destiny, miracles and perfect timing.

HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE - What could be better than a movie about magic and fantasy with great visual effects. For adults as well as children.
