MIND: EPIGENETIC THERAPY
Epigenetic therapy, is lifestyle therapy. This may be the future of medicine. It is the healing of disease by changing the instructions to your cells. Very Hopeful! You can change your mind, thoughts and environment to produce health now and later. I have heard Bruce Lipton speak. He is a a pioneer in Epigenetics. He talks about making life and environmental changes, which he believes are more important than the gene pool you were born with. Heredity or Environment? - a long time question of the experts. Bruce Lipton and epigenetics would vote for environmental factors. You don't have to have the diseases of your family. You can change that,by changing your lifestyle and your thoughts.

BODY: COCA-COLA HITS THE SPOT
I have a couple of clients who love coca-cola. They are finding it hard to give it up. The experts say giving up a sugar/caffeine/coke addiction is as hard as giving up a cocaine addiction. It affects the same part of the brain. The product that has given the world one of its best-known addictive substances was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on May 8, 1886. Dr. John Pemberton, a local pharmacist, produced the syrup for Coca-ColaŽ. He carried a jug of the new product down the street to Jacobs' Pharmacy. It was sampled, and pronounced "excellent". And why not. Pemberton, the pharmacist used five ounces of coca leaf (otherwise known as cocaine) per gallon of syrup, a significant amount. In 1891, the new owner, Candler, changed the formula to contain only a tenth of the amount of cocaine. At one time Coca-Cola had an estimated nine milligrams of cocaine per glass. In 1903 the cocaine was removed and coke became a carbonated soda fountain drink. Too bad! It was probably more fun with cocaine. But the addictive quality still remains. More on this "delicious and refreshing" drink next month. |

You can buy high quality, pharmaceutical grade supplements on line, where I discount them to my clients.
Please don't buy your supplements at your local pharmacy, or Walmart, they contain a lot of dyes, fillers and other junk. Trader Joe's is not great either. They have wonderful organic food products, but I believe their vitamins fall short.
