|HELLO FROM LAURA|
On April 26, 2009, I completed the 5 mile Walk for HAWC. It was an great accomplishment. I have not walked such a distance in a long time. For those who contributed to HAWC on my behalf, I thank you, ABT YOGA thanks you and HAWC thanks you.
On another note - I have gotten a ton of spam which I delete. If you are attempting to reach me via email, and I don't respond, you have been deleted. Please call me - the telephone is more reliable.
FOR THE MIND: ARE YOU SUGGESTIBLE?|
| Everyone in the media is going hog wild about swine flu. I have lived through polio, mad cow, bird flu and many others. Glad none of them were plague.
My advice is; stop of being frantic about each new panic epidemic. Stress and worry compromises your immune system from functioning well.
Good food, no preservatives or additives, regular exercise, - yes do wash your hands, frequently, keep your mind healthy and strong. Stop watching the news. It is the news that spreads diseases.
One of my clients is studying to be nurse was told by his microbiology professor that the swine flu is just a flu.
He works at MGH, where there were 2 cases of swine flu. They recovered quickly and were released quickly.
I am very suggestible and could experience every disease, if I allowed that to happen. Good thing I did not go to medical school - I would have suffered through each and every disease of the week.
FOR THE BODY: WATER IS ALWAYS BEST|
| Vitaminwater sounds terrific. You get water and vitamins in every mouthful. Vitaminwater contains a sweetener not any better than High Fructose Corn syrup. This product contains Crystalline Fructose, a cousin to HFCS, which may contain heavy metals and have after-effects like headaches, stomach aches, and most frequently, diarrhea.|
DRINK WATER which is the best for thirst, to replace fluids and for detoxing. The food industry spends about $40 billion a year on advertising, with the intention of brainwashing you to believe that junk food and beverages promote wellness for you and your families.
Crystalline Fructose is also used in processed foods. It extends longevity, and stability. No - not for you, for the shelf life of the products, which are less expensive, longer lasting for the manufacturer but unhealthy for the consumer.
The food and beverage industry doesn't want you to be healthy - they just want to make money - much like pharmaceutical industry.
This is even more reason to eat and drink carefully and healthfully. Just because is sounds healthy, doesn't mean it is a good choice. NOTE: Fructose, from a natural piece of fruit is healthy, manufactured fructose is not.
DID YOU KNOW STRESSED..................spelled backwards is DESSERT. Nothing like a good dessert to alleviate stress. Try fruit or a little chocolate.
