FOR THE MIND: Gratitude
||Close your eyes and relax.
Slow down your breathing and let go of any distractions. Put
your concentration on visualizing a rainbow, and enjoying all
the colors separately and together. Are there any colors that
appeal to you, more than the others? One color could be used
to melt problems. Another color can bring in thoughts of happy
and enjoyable parts of life. Focus on the positive while
expressing gratitude and thankfulness for all that you have.
By concentrating on positive thoughts, you allow in more
As the universal law states: Where
Attention Goes - Energy Flows. (What you focus on - Grows)
Might as well have the "Good" increase. By visualizing even
for 5 minutes daily - you can create change. Try it!
FOR THE BODY: Sweets for the
||Oh how we love those
sweets. No wonder we are getting fatter and fatter as a
nation. There are many sweeteners we use to satisfy that
craving. I will mention two here.
White table SUGAR, otherwise known as sucrose has been a
very popular sweetener over the years. It has been reported
that each of us in America eats about 150 pounds of sugar per
year. Sugar is in many desserts and processed products. Even
cigarettes are sugar cured.
A widely used tasty substitute for sugar is HIGH FRUCTOSE
CORN SYRUP. It is sweeter and cheaper than sugar. It is so
economical it has become wide spread in the industry and
appears in everything including sodas and fast foods. The
average person consumes about 63 pounds of it per year.
According to the World Health Organization, no more than 10%
of your calories should come from this form of sugar.
According to me - give it up. If High Fructose Corn Sugar
or Sugar is listed as the first or second ingredient - find a
healthier choice. Try STEVIA, a natural herbal sweetener with
no calories or carbs and stay away from artificial sweetners
